‘Oakhurst’ Golf Club

White Sulphur Springs WV 24986. Site of the first organized golf club in United States. It was formed, 1884, on the ‘Oakhurst estate of owner, Russell W. Known for his passion and work ethic, Fox was an AL MVP (1959), a 3-time Gold Glove Award winner, and a 12-time All-Star. His boyhood home stands nearby.
